Grade EN47
EN47 is a high-carbon chromium–vanadium alloy steel widely used in applications requiring excellent strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance. It is especially suitable for components subjected to dynamic and repetitive loads such as springs, shafts, and heavy-duty mechanical parts.
Compared to standard carbon steels like EN8 or EN9, EN47 offers superior elasticity, wear resistance, and durability. Its alloy composition enhances performance under high stress and ensures long service life even in demanding working conditions.
EN47 is typically supplied in annealed condition for ease of machining and can be heat treated through quenching and tempering to achieve high hardness and strength. This makes it highly versatile for both manufacturing and performance applications.
Due to its excellent mechanical properties and reliability, EN47 is widely used in automotive, industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, and heavy engineering sectors.
